Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws
(including licensing rules and regulations) regarding child welfare,
mental health services, alcohol and drug abuse, etc.

Adhere to ALL AHFY written policy procedures and practices.

Responsible for the supervision and safety of all youth at all
times.

Responsible for teaching and helping youth to maintain a clean
and presentable environment.

Ensure compliance with AHFY Critical Incident Reporting
Procedures.

Complete medication certification training and Therapeutic
Crisis Intervention training and adhere to these procedures when
carrying out job duties.

Assess personal strengths and areas of growth of individual
youth.
-
Assess stages of development for the group and plan activities
to utilize group strengths.
-
Participate in the planning, implementation and preparation of
individual treatment plans, monthly progress, quarterly and
termination reports.
-
Attend weekly staff meetings and participate in treatment
planning reviews.

Attend agency and community workshops as assigned.
-
Assist with group interventions as directed.

Drug/Alcohol
Counselors are responsible to plan and conduct
formal drug education and a therapeutic program that meets ADAD
licensure requirements.

Document interventions and observations on each youth for each
shift.
-
Log van mileage, phone messages, appointments and other
scheduled events.
-
To make sure all equipment used by the youth is safe and
functional.

Enforce program rules and consequences based on program
procedures, individual treatment plan and individual education plan.

Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of all daily
youth activities, i.e., wake up, meals, chores, hygiene.

Keep all receipts for monies spent and turn in to Assistant
Facility Manager as required.

Responsible for personal needs for youth assigned, i.e.,
clothing inventory, clothing purchases, and medical appointments.

To assist with program objectives and that the quality of
service delivery is consistent with the Quality Assurance Manual.

Responsible for providing positive modeling and teaching
relationship skills that fosters a learning environment that
promotes growth and empowerment.

Participate in outdoor adventure experience as assigned.
-
To fulfill any other duties as assigned by the
Unit Manager.
